The chicken house is built along one side of the fishpond. Currently we have around 1800 egg layers which provide around 1000-1100 eggs per day, some of which go to the kitchen and the rest go for sale in the Casa Guatemala farm shop ('Granja de los Niņos') in the nearby town of Rio Dulce. Also in the chicken house there are around 3000 eating chickens which provide meat at least once a week for the kitchen and a good amount (approx 800 lbs / 200 chickens per week) go for sale in the shop
