The Playland Park

A group friends from Ireland got together and decided the children needed a park where they could play, relax and leave behind the stresses that came from the 1999 earthquake. They enlisted the help of more people to help raise the necessary funds. They had various event fundraisers where they finally put together U.S.$15.000. In addition, they also assigned two volunteers to bring the money to us. At the time we also had 2 volunteers from Switzerland here who were carpenters, and they coordinated the activities of the other volunteers to help build this beautiful park.

Thanks to our friends in Ireland, this park today is one of the more favorite spots for both children and adults in Casa Guatemala’s Childrens Village.
